Item 0001 is a No. 5 Bearing. NSN: 3110008649269RV. P/N: 781823. The No. 5 Bearing is a roller cylinder type, 150 MM X 215 MM; an engineering critical item; maintain blueprint specifications. Application: TF33-7,100. The material contains precious metals. I.A.W. current drawings. Quantity - 30 EA. Destn: Tinker AFB OK 73145-3032. Delivery: October 2005. Government/Commercial, new/unused surplus is acceptable. The approximate issue date of solicitation will be 12 May 2004. The anticipated award date is July 2004. Qualification requirements: Due to the complexity and criticality of this part, only actual manufacturers that have successfully completed all testing required by the original company responsible for the design can be considered approved sources for this design, or manufacturers that have successfully completed all testing on items determined by the Government to be similar in complexity and criticality can be considered approved sources for this item. Electronic procedures will be used for this solicitation. Written quotations are required. This item is competitive. Only written or faxed requests received directly from the requestors are acceptable. All responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal or quotation, which will be considered. It is suggested that small business firms or others interested in subcontracting opportunities in connection with the described procurement make contact with Pratt & Whitney. Note: An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source selection process.
