Description
This FedBizOps announcement is notice that TRICARE Regions Southwest & Central (6, 7 & 8) which includes all Military Medical Treatment Facilities (MTFs) in the states of Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana, Colorado, Arizona, Kansas, Missouri, Idaho, Oklahom a, New Mexico, North Dakota, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, South Dakota, Utah, and Wyoming are initiating the standardization process for the product line of Orthopedic Ambulatory Aides used for patient care. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS are as follows: 1) Crutches (Aluminum/Wood) in a variety of sizes ranging from pediatrics to extra tall; durable; pairs are complete with tips, grips and pads; adjustable with ease an d speed; and grips and pads to provide comfort. 2) Canes (Aluminum/Wood/Quad) that are Durable; easily adjusted; and complete with handgrip and tip. 3) Walker (Aluminum/Wheel Blocker/Hemi-Walker)-Walkers to be easily adjustable; durable; and available in standard size and wide body. 4) Accessories (Crutches/Canes/Walkers)- Replacement pads, tips and grips will be available for crutches and tips and grips for canes and walkers. 5) Must carry a full product line 6) Must provide customer support through a sa les representative for each MTF within TRICARE regions 6, 7, & 8. 7) Must provide clinical support, education programs and utilization reports. SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS: 1) Are your products available through Prime Vendor: Cardinal Health? If yes, what is your DAPA Number For information on the DAPA process, contact Mr. John Charalabidis at (215) 737-7124. 2) Under what brand (s) does your company manufacture or distribute your products? 3) Is there a history of back-orders or recalls for this product group? If yes, please answer: a) Dates and duration b) Cause c) Resolution. This is not a Request for Proposal, and samples are not being requested at this time. The intent of this standardization is to establish regionally preferred sources for hospita l supply items to standardize purchasing of products for regional MTFs. In exchange for becoming a preferred source for TRICARE Southwest & Central Regions, the government requests additional price considerations for these products. Additional TRICARE Regi ons may elect to join after award and additional price consideration will be requested at that time. Clinical Product Teams (CPTs) will evaluate this product line. CPTs are composed of healthcare providers who have expertise and knowledge of the products. They will review products and literature submitted. TRICARE Regions Southwest & Central deem the CPT members to be medical experts. Therefore, they are qualified to determine and recommend which products are acceptable. Their recommendation can be accompli shed by literature review, presentation, and demonstration, physical or clinical evaluation. Respondents must address all questions listed above. Also include a cover letter identifying a point of contact to address questions regarding your products.
