- Description
- Utilizing simplified acquisition procedures, the General Services Administration?s Public Buildings Service (GSA/PBS), as part of its membership with the organization, intends to enter into contract with the Construction Users Roundtable (CURT), Cincinnati, OH in accordance with 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(3) ? Industrial mobilization; engineering, developmental, or research capability; or expert services. The Construction Users Roundtable (CURT) is an autonomous organization formed by construction and engineering executives representing major corporations that are among the largest consumers in the construction industry. CURT provides a forum for the exchange of information, views, practices and policies of various owners at the national level. No other solicitation documents are available. Under this proposed action, GSA will provide funding to CURT to participate in a Pilot Project in conjunction with the Partnering Diagnostic Laboratory (PDL). PDL is a service offering to develop mutually beneficial improvement for organizations with large construction budgets, that (1) Identifies methods and procedures to positively alter the process steps in normal activities of suppliers relations; (2) Focuses on process improvement suggestions with no capital budget outlay; (3) Selections new process design incorporating technology to improve quality and cut cycle-time; and (4) Buildings a road map to optimize an inter-organization network providing cost reductions, better asset utilization, building higher customer satisfaction and new revenues. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and a determination by the government to compete this proposed action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
