Description
Request for Interest (RFI) by Suppliers of Avionics Components for C130B and UH-1H aircraft of the New Iraqi Air Force Response due date: 30 Apr 2004 This announcement constitutes an official Request for Information (RFI). The intent is to request information and interest in provisioning and installing upgraded avionics suites for 16 UH-1H helicopters and 2 C130B transport aircraft of the New Iraqi Air Force. This is not a Request for Proposal (RFP) or an Invitation for Bid (IFB), nor is it to be construed as a commitment by the government. Further, the government reserves the right to pursue any concepts that may result from this action without restriction. The Office of Security Cooperation, CPA seeks information on the price and availability for the follow avionics suites: a. CPA requests an avionics/radar suite fitting the following description for each C-130B aircraft -Wide Area Augmentation System (WAAS) GPS, upgradable IFR GPS and updatable data bank -VHF Communication, UHF Communication, VOR, and LOC with glide slope indication. -Terrain avoidance capability, lightning detection, traffic avoidance, and weather interface capability. -GPS suite shall also include high contrast color moving map, capable of oceanic travel and operation in remote areas. - GPS display should interface with integrated weather radar. - Avionics suite should also contain, and/or interface with, an integrated on board collision avoidance system. b. CPA requests an avionics suite fitting the following description for the UH1H helicopters: -Attitude gyro, turn needle and balance ball, full pilot static instrumentation (altimeter, airspeed, etc?), RMI or BDHI with VOR/ADF needles included -WAAS compatible GPS system incorporating VHF communication, VOR, and LOC with glide slope indication. (GPS suite shall include a high contrast color moving map, capable of operation in remote areas) -ADF and a VOR/DME suitable for IFR navigation - Minimum of two radios capable of voice communications on both UHF and VHF single-channel frequencies - Radar Altimeter.
