Description

This is a modification to the original synopsis. The original synopsis was posted on December 5, 2003. The modification involves the inclusion of three option years. Option period 1 (10/1/04-9/30/05). Option period 2 (10/1/05-9/30/06). Option period 3 (10/1/06-9/30/07). The Fleet & Industrial Supply Center Puget Sound (FISCPS), in support of Puget Sound Naval Shipyard (PSNS), has a requirement for Polyurethane in a 55-gallon drum capacity. PSNS is supporting Naval Surface Warfare Center’s (NSWC) efforts to transition experimental materials for full-scale evaluation to Fleet applications. The experimental material formulation developed between NSWC and Crompton Corporation restricts this purchase. Some material specifications are not available at this time to allow for a competitive procurement. The Government intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Crompton Corporation, 199 Benson Road Middleberry CT 06762. Therefore, this notice is published for informational purposes only. Additional sources are not being sought at this time. No telephone requests for the solicitation will be accepted.
