- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Interested parties shall contact the DCC-W Point of Contact for copies of the RFQ. The Statement of Work (SOW) follows: The purpose of this statement of work is to define the requiremen t of the procurement of newspapers for the Office of the Secretary of Defense. This requirement is for a variety of newspapers and magazines to be delivered to the Pentagon for distribution throughout the Office of the Secretary of Defense. This requirem ent will not have a fixed number of newspapers/magazines, the number may fluctuate over the minimum number required during the life of the contract. The minimum and maximum quantity of the following newspapers and magazines are required daily: Minimum/Ma ximum quantity per day: NY Times (Monday ?????? These papers must be delivered no later than 6:00 AM and stacked in specific stacks for pick-u p by OSD mailroom personnel. The Pentagon Remote Delivery Facility (RDF) opens at 4:00 AM daily. Papers are to be delivered to the Pentagon, seven days per week. Sunday papers will be required with Monday delivery. The stacks shall be assembled accordi ng to the individual OSD account number and account name. Specific information regarding the current copy count, room numbers and office names will be provided to the Contractor at time of award, and any changes thereto throughout the life of the contract . Stacks are delivered to several locations within the Pentagon. The Remote Delivery Facility (RDF) staff will provide transportation to locations wihtin the Pentagon. The Contractor??????s delivery personnel will be required to have a Pentagon Building Pass; the delivery personnel must be able to pass a NCIC background investigation.
