Description

Project Title: Green Mountain Powerplant - Outlet Works Ring Seal Gate Hoist Modifications, Big-Thompson Project, Colorado The work is located at Green Mountain Dam approximately 27 miles northwest of Silverthorne, Colorado in Summit County. Work under these specifications includes: (1) removal and disposal of the two existing electric motor operators, (2) removal and disposal of existing 2,300-volt and 230-volt distribution system equipment, (transformers, motor starter panels, conductors, and panelboards), (3) furnish and install two hydraulic motor operators on two 102-inch ring seal gate hoist assemblies, (4) furnish and install hydraulic power unit, (HPU) and connecting piping, (5) furnish and install control circuits for the HPU and ring seal gate operations requiring input from the power plant control board to the HPU located in the hoist house over fiber optic cable, (6) furnish and install new unit substation and 600-volt motor control center for servicing ring seal gates and hoist house loads, (7) furnish and install distribution panelboards and transformers for servicing spillway and gate chamber, (8) furnish and install conduit, power and control conductors, fiber optic cable, and grounding conductors to complete electrical installation, (9) furnish and install 1½ inch compressed air piping for line in gate shaft. The estimated price range for this project is $500,000-$1,000,000. Solicitation packages are anticipated to be issued on or around May 27, 2004. Sealed Bids are tentatively due on or around June 29, 2004 at the Bureau of Reclamation, Great Plains Region, 316 North 26th Street, Billings, Montana 59101. There is no charge for the first copy of the solicitation package; additional sets will be provided upon receipt of money order in the amount of $9.00 each. This is an Invitation For Bid (IFB). All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the Bureau of Reclamation. The North American Industry Classification System code (NAICS) is 238210 (new), 235310 (old).
