Description

NOTICE OF INTENT. The U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service- Department of the Interior intends to solicit and award on a sole-source basis to V.H. Blackinton & Co., Inc., 22 John L. Dietsch Blvd., P.O. Box 1300, Attleboro Falls, MA 02763-0300, for 500 each, National Wildlife Refuge Service (NWRS) Law Enforcement Badges embedded into Lucite Mold with blue background and gold plate inside Lucite with engravable plate with letters, and 120 each, National Wildlife Refuge System logo, NWRS Centennial Badges, and NWRS Badge embedded with engraved gold plate inside Lucite. The Service conducted a market research for different types of metals and finishes for badges to determine the desired product for the Service's law enforcement badges and found that only Backinton & Co. can provide the badges because they must match current National Wildlife Refuge System's badges which are made of a finished material that is a registered trademark of Blackinton. It is critical that the same finish be applied when the badges are cleaned and refinished prior to placing them in Lucite. Due to the fact that this is a Blackinton product, the process needs to be completed by Blackinton. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS.
