Description

The contractor shall be responsible for providing drawings of the proposed item.The mobile weapons security container must be fabricated of 7 gage steel, contain a steel drawer fitted on heavy duty sliders, door must contain key operated lock and five 3/4 inch diameter locking bolts, be weather/dust resistant with gasket seals, be fitted with four lifting lugs as well as riser skids to facilitate crane or forklift use in movement of the unit. The measurements must be 60'-63' L X 42" W X 14.75" H. The container must contain at least 8 compartments designed to hold the following: M-240B, B-240 Spare Barrel, M-240 Ammo Can 100 round, M-240 Ammo Can 100 round, M-240 Ammo Can 200 round, M-249 Assault Pack, M-249 Spare Barrel, M-9 Security, and miscellaneous support storage. The item must be manufactured in accordance with Federal Specification AA-C-2859 with can be found by the following link: http://locks.nfesc.navy.mil/gsa_weapons_container.htmhe associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 332999 with a small business size standard not to exceed 1,000 employees. Solicitation will be available on or about 27 April 2004 through the Governments electronic posting system at http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. Due to expiring funds this solicitation will only be available for bid until 12:00 pm pacific time on 29 April 04.Paper copies of the solicitation will not be available.The awarded contractor is required to be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database.You can register by calling 888-227-2423 or via the Internet at http://www.ccr.gov.
