- NOUN: Metal Tube Assy; NSN: 4710-00-395-7083NZ; PN: 4042205; QTY: 24; U/I: each; DELIVERY: October, 2004 to Tinker AFB OK; APPLICABLE TO: F100PW100/200/220/220E Engines; SIZE/DIMENSIONS: OD 0.625 inches minimum & 0.630 inches maximum; Thickness 0.025 inches min & 0.031 inches max; End conections - unthreaded external flareless swivel nut; PREDOMINANT MATERIAL: TI Alloy, Spec PWA 1260; Anticipated Solicitation Issue Date: 14 May 2004; Anticipted Award Date: 30 June 2004. No telephone solicitaton requests well be accepted. To be eligible for contract award, offerors must be approved sources. The Government is not required to delay contract award to review pending Source Approval Requests (SARs). Therefore, offerors are encouraged to submit SARs as soon as possible. If the Government has not completed review of the SAR when the contract is awarded, the SAR will be retained and the source will be reviewed for possible Source Approval for future awards. Due to the planned sole-source action under an exiting BOA, the Government doesn't plan to create and issue a solicitation. However, if a potential offeror requests a copy of a solicitation, the Government will create and provide one. To obtain required technical data, potential offerors must use TEDS at https://www.fedteds/gov/. The award is expected to be made to sole source supplier Pratt & Whitney. Authority: 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). NOTE: An ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the Program Manager or Contracting Officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate Government personnel. When requested, the ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
