Once issued, the solicitation will provide a closing date, 30 days after the issue date.*** RFP SP0100-04-R-0122 is for the purchase of the following 3 NSNs: Item 1: NSN – 8305-00-530-0111, Cloth, Satin, Glass, Natural (Both Sides), 60 Inch Width, Type VIIIB, Class 1. Note! Type VIIII Has Been Replaced By Type VIIIB. Item 2: NSN – 8305-00-530-0113, Cloth, Plain Weave, Natural (Both Sides), Type IV, Class 1, 38 Inch Width. Item 3: NSN – 8305-00-551-2203, Cloth, Satin, Glass, Natural (Both Sides) 38 Inch Width, Type V Or Type VA, Class 1. Two deliveries to Albany, GA, commencing 120 days after date of award are required. Inspection and Acceptance will be at Origin. This solicitation will be issued on an Unrestricted basis. Best Value Source Selection methods will be utilized. Past performance will be the only evaluation factor. Numbered notes 9 and 26 apply. Procurement history: Item 1: $6.45 per yard for 4,717 yards awarded on 12/21/01. Item 2: $5.50 per yard for 2,163 yards awarded on 4/29/97. Item 3: $4.85 per yard for 3,274 yards awarded on 12/21/01. Important Note on Foreign Content The Defense appropriations and authorization acts and other statutes (including what is commonly referred to as “The Berry Amendment” impose restrictions on the DoD’s acquisition of foreign products and services. Generally, Clothing and Textile items (as defined in DFARS clause 252.225-7012) and “specialty metals” (as defined in DFARS clause 252.225-7014) must be grown, reprocessed, reused, melted or produced in the United States, its possessions or Puerto Rico, unless one of the DFARS 225.7002-2 exceptions applies.
