APHIS intends on using pressurized delivery systems to inject specified volumes of Imicide (10% imidacloprid, manufactured and distributed by the J.J. Mauget Company, Arcadia, California) into infested and at-risk trees during 2004 program year. The program year extends from March through October. APHIS is conducting an evaluation of injection devices that meet the Level I requirement or new systems and methodologies that meet the Level II requirement. You can download a copy of the Performance Work Statement (PWS) from this website at www.fedbizopps.gov. Candidate systems and methodologies will be reviewed and approved for field tests. In order to be considered for the field test, prospective vendors must have an executed trial agreement signed by the Contracting Officer. Deadline for submission of Level I candidate systems or detailed descriptions thereof, fully configured for testing, including instructions or training manuals, must be provided for review no later than the close of business, 4:00 p.m., EST, on May 5, 2004.
