- The National Acquisition Center is currently seeking sources that provide all necessary services and supplies related to and including labor, equipment, medications, patient assessment and monitoring, incidentals and training for patient and caregiver, etc to provide Home Infusion Therapy Services. Some of the therapies include, but are not limited to the following: antibiotics, chemotherapy, pain management, parenteral nutrition and IV Immune Globulin. Responding sources should address their ability to provide these services on a national or regional basis and they shall address their specific geographic coverage area. It is the intention of the Government to make multiple awards for these services that will provide multiple vendor selection for various authorized Government agencies nationwide such as the Department of Veterans Affairs and the Department of Defense. Firm-fixed price contracts with economic price adjustments are contemplated. The anticipated contract period will be a minimum of 5 years. If your company is interested, respond to this notice by providing the following at a minimum: 1. Information regarding the types of Home IV therapy service commonly administered commercially. 2. Information regarding the mechanics of how the Home IV therapy services are provided. 3. Information regarding the terms and conditions that govern any commercial agreements. A copy of a commercial agreement will satisfy this requirement. 4. Information regarding the impact of commercial usage of ambulatory infusion centers versus Home IV therapies. 5. Information regarding normal geographic coverage area. 6. Information regarding how Home IV therapy services are priced commercially including any differentials for normal business hours vs. evening hours, weekends or holidays. 7. Information regarding any certifications and/or accreditations from various organizations that signify that certain national standards for quality service are met. 8. Any additional information that may be useful in determining how the Home IV industry operates commercially. 9. Please address any current or anticipated concerns regarding the proposed contracting method i.e. multiple-award, firm-fixed price with economic price adjustment. This announcement constitutes a sources sought notice and market research. Information obtained as a result of this synopsis is for information planning purposes only. This does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) nor is it to be construed as a commitment by the Government. Interested sources shall respond to this notice at their earliest convenience but no later than June 1, 2004. Responses will be accepted via regular mail, fax, or electronic mail.
