Description

: Pine Bluff Arsenal (PBA) is planning to upgrade the White Phosphorus (WP) munitions filling facility located at Pine Bluff Arsenal. The objective is to modernize the facility to accommodate current and future needs. The new design updates the ex isting system, incorporating various pieces of new equipment. The goal of these changes is to reduce labor and manual handling of heavy and hazardous materials; to facilitate a more environmentally friendly system; to meet or exceed Environmental Regulati ons; to increase system efficiency and overall safety. The equipment to be procured and installed may include, but is not limited to process equipment, control systems and support equipment to improve human factors, safety, health, and environmental perfo rmance and efficiency. Examples of possible pieces of equipment include but are not limited to conveyors, scrubber, UPS & generator, paint booth, pick and place equipment, x-ray machines, communications systems, etc. It is the Government's objective to have one contractor responsible for the purchase of all the equipment and installation of said equipment. The contractor will be responsible to ensure that the system is a workable system upon completion of their contract.
