Description

The work consists of clearing, excavation, culvert installation, riprap placement, removal and disposal of debris, environmental protection and turfing along three existing drainage ditches. This work will accommodate seepage flows from a line of r elief wells along the toe of the main line levee. The estimated cost of this work is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. There will be 38 drawings. The proposed contract listed will be awarded under the Partnership Agreement between Small Business Administration (SBA) and the Department of Defense. Small Business Administration requirement number for this project is 7700-04-402664. There is a geographical restriction on this requirement. Competition is limited to 8(a) contractors located within the geographical area serviced by SBA in ARKANSAS, ILLINOIS, KENTUCKY, MISSISSIPPI, MISSOURI, AND TENNESSEE which have NAICS Code 237990 among those approved for 8(a) participation. All other firms are deemed ineligible to submit offers. Participation is permitted for 8(a) concerns in both developmental and transitional stages. The services to be procured in this solicitation are classified in Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code 1629, NAICS Code 237990. To qualify as a small business concer n, the concern must have had average annual receipts for the three preceding years not exceeding $28.5 million. This solicitation will issue on or about 26 MAY 2004. Bid opening for this solicitation will be on or about 01 JULY 2004.
