Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is a requirement contract for United Parcel Services (Next Day Air) for Moncrief Army Community Hospital, Fort Jackson, SC. Performance period: From date of award through 30 Septe mber 2004 and 4 one-year option periods. Quantities are estimated. Services will be ordered on as needed bases. Payment will be made for actual shipments. Contractor shall provide all small, medium and large shipping boxes shipment tracking software program, online tracking capability, technical support, training and upgrades, shipping labels and label printer. Materials shipped will be boxes of optical devices i.e. letters, glasses, lenses, frames, optical equipment to support laboratories, optical tools. Size of containers range from letter size up to 24x18x18 (LxWxH). Requested time of pick up between 3 to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, 10 to 11:30 am Saturday upon request. Delivery time, next day air between 10 am to 2 p.m. Monday through Fri day and 10 to 11:30 a.m. on Saturday upon request.
