- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst NJ has been tasked to provide for the manufacture, delivery, assembly, installation and operational performance verification of the High Power Devices Test Subsystem (HPDTS), P/N 3528AS475-01, for the Italian Navy, a Joint Program Office (JPO) member. The HPDTS will be assembled and installed into the existing Block II Consolidated Automated Support System (CASS) Radio Frequency (RF) station at a land based stationary facility in southern Italy. Included in this requirement is a HPDTS self-test/calibration Operational Test Program Set (OTPS), APG-65 Radar System OTPS, on-site operator and maintenance training, data for a water chiller unit and other data associated with installation. Expected delivery date is 12 months after award. An option for provision of engineering and logistics support services, material and travel for a performance period of 18 months after acceptance of the production hardware will be included. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate this requirement on a sole source basis with Systems and Electronics Incorporated, St Louis MO under the authority of 10 USC 2304 (c) (1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. SEI is the designer, developer and original equipment manufacturer of the HPDTS and the APG-65 Radar System OTPS. The Government does not own sufficient technical data, drawings or source data to provide to potential suppliers to support competition of this effort. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all responses received within fifteen days after the date of publication of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of this notice will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive requirement.
