Description

The purpose of this modification is to extend the due date for receipt of any vendor interest in bidding on the requirement. In preparation for an upcoming conference, The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) Office of Technology and Innovation, intends to award a firm fixed price purchase order using Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items for the purpose of lodging and conference services for a major training event of the National Association of Remedial Project Managers (NARPM) for all 10 EPA regions and HQ training and Superfund staff, May 24-28, 2004, in Miami, Florida. After careful consideration of hotels in the metropolitan Miami, Florida area, the Deauville Hotel, Miami Beach, Florida, was determined to be the only facility uniquely qualified to satisfy the Government's requirement. The Deauville Hotel is the only facility available for the meeting dates, and able to accommodate Federal lodging per diem rates to meeting attendees. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 721110. Notwithstanding, any firm who believes it is capable of meeting EPA's requirement, by performing all of the tasks listed in the statement of work that is posted at the following web site http://www.epa.gov/oam/srpod/, may submit a response, which if received by the closing date of this announcement will be considered. Responses to this posting must be in writing. A determination not to compete the proposed requirement based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
