- Description
- The United States Postal Service (USPS) will be pre-qualifying suppliers for a forthcoming production of multi-part forms. The contemplated three-year contract(s) is for the manufacturing of forms that meet or exceed USPS requirements. All forms will be delivered to the USPS Material Distribution Center in Topeka, KS. The forms are in 4 lots: A - (110) 2?9 part carbonless cut-sheet snap-out forms B - (9) 1?6 part carbonless continuous forms C - (15) 75?300 part matchbook-style forms D - (1) 5-part cut-sheet snap out form with barcoding and OCR readable numbering Current estimated minimum / maximum for the 3-year contract term: Lot A - 7.5 million / 105 million forms Lot B - 3 million / 60 million forms Lot C - 150,000 / 2.25 million forms Lot D - 15 million / 225 million The supplier must be capable of: Producing (have the equipment, with open capacity) the minimum number of forms for the Lot(s) you are interested in; Providing electronic receipt of orders, order fulfillment, and electronic order reporting and invoicing. Requests for this prequalification package must be in writing and reference Multi-part Forms prequalification. Prequalification packages (seven copies) are required no later than May 24, 2004. Following the Prequalification process, this sourcing project will be handled by FreeMarkets, Inc. The FreeMarkets team will be the main point of contact for suppliers throughout the quotation process, working with suppliers to ensure that they have all relevant information needed for completing quotations on this package. FreeMarkets will be responsible for contacting approved suppliers for inclusion in the second part of this quotation package and will be coordinating a real-time online sourcing auction to culminate this process.
