- Amendment 3. The purpose of Amendment 3 is to amend the combined synopsis solicitation as follows: 1. Questions and Answers are restated and hereby incorporated by reference and provided below. 2. The closing date for submission of quotations is unchanged. END AMENDMENT 3. QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS 1. Q. Is there an incumbent doing this work now? A. No. 2. Q. Can the full script be made available? Can you provide a draft or outline of the script? A. No. 3. Q. What dialect of Spanish is required? A. Latin American. 4. Q. Because the script is required in Spanish will the USPTO be supplying the Spanish version also, or will the winning vendor be required to transcribe the script? A. The winning vendor will be required to transcribe the script. 5. Q. Will the script call for on-camera interviews? A. Yes. 6. Q. If interviews are required is there a specific setting where those interviews may take place? A. All interviews will take place in the metropolitan Washington area, for the most part Arlington, Virginia and Washington DC. 7. Q. Because the USPTO has been involved with video production in the past, is there any stock footage available? A. Any appropriate stock footage the USPTO has can be used for this production. 8. Q. Does the final cut have to be in CD-ROM? Can it be in DVD? A. It can be in DVD. 9. Q. Can the work timeline be extended past the 1 June submission date? What is the U.S. position on geographical indications (GI)? A. Current U.S. trademark law provides adequate protection for the producers of products from geographic areas like Champagne in France. 11. I assume that there will be several interviews with USPTO staff to be included in this project, and that these interviews can be planned for the greater Washington DC area. Would that be correct? A.
