- CHANGES TO PIXS DATED 27 APR 2004. THIS PROCUREMENT IS NOW POSTED UNDER PIXS 04R0036. PLEASE REFER TO SOLICITATION #FA8601-04-R-0036 TO BE RELEASED ON/ABOUT 29 APRRIL 2004. CHANGES TO PIXS DATED 20 FEB 2004. Items Posted: 1) Revision of Site Visit Questions and Answers to clarify responses to questions #22,25-29. 2) Industry Q+A and 3) Map of Wright-Patterson AFB AFRL Buildings. Anticpated release of RFP is mid-March. CHANGES TO PIXS DATED 12 JAN 2004. Any contractor planning to attend the site visit shall provide a list of names and SSN of those attending, to the Contracting POC NLT Tuesday, 27 JAN 2004. CHANGES TO PIXS DATED 7 JAN 2004. The purpose of this notice is to advise changes to the draft SOW (dated Dec 2003), NAICS code, 100% Small Business Set- Aside, establish site visit date and change Contracting POC Dianne Smith 937- 257-6145 x 4229 dianne.smith2@wpafb.af.mil and Technical POC-Tom Taylor 937-255- 5644. SITE VISIT: Pre-Award Site Visit has been scheduled for Tuesday 03 Feb 2004. Any contractor planning to attend the site visit shall provide a list of names and SSN of those attending to the Contracting POC NLT 30 Jan 2004. Transporation will be provided from Gate 1B at 0830. Please allow a minimum of 4 hours for site visit. REVISED SOW: Please provide any technical questions in writing in reference to the revised draft SOW (dated Dec 2003)to the Contracting POC NLT 20 Jan 2004. ORIGINAL NOTICE: This is not a notice of RFP issuance. The Air Force is seeking sources capable of performing this requirement. Anticipated period of performance is 1 Jan 04 through 31 Dec 04. Four, one year option periods may be awarded. Interested sources should submit a capability package via e-mail to Dianne Smith c/o Stuart.Shuler@wpafb.af.mil no later than 20 October 2003, and shall indicate their size status in relation to the applicable NAICS code. Sources with 8(a) status or otherwise classified as small disadvantaged business should state accordingly in their responses. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 54133; the size standard is $23 million. The contractor shall provide technical support which shall consist of procurement, fabrication, installation, setup, operation, maintenance, inspection, overhaul, repair, modification, certification and transport of experimental/test equipment, laboratory instrumentation, control systems, data acquisition equipment, and computer related equipment, fixtures, material, and special devices. The technical support shall also include the design, documentation, implementation, testing, certification, and maintenance of related facility and equipment modifications. The contractor shall provide engineering support which shall consist of mechanical, electrical, electronic, civil, computer science, and other disciplines necessary to resolve latent problems in existing facilities, equipment and systems, and to design, develop, implement, and troubleshoot new projects in support AFRL systems. The contractor shall provide data acquisition and control support to AFRL laboratories. The contractor shall design, develop, fabricate, install, operate, maintain, repair, and modify data acquisition systems, networks, recorders, monitors, equipment, components, software, control systems, and special devices. This shall include, but is not limited to: data acquisition and controls for facilities, laboratories, equipment, and fixtures; test articles; process and facility control systems; monitoring and surveillance systems; security sensor systems; and setting up service agreements for specialized equipment/systems. The contractor shall provide logistics support, which shall consist of acquiring materials and services through the Standard Base Supply System (SBSS) and 88 ABW Operational Contracting. Supply services shall include item research functions, requisitioning, direct procurement purchase request transactions, database administration/analysis, material receipt and inspection, storage, issue and delivery, material handling, and turn-in disposition. The contractor shall have the responsibility for purchasing materiel and services required to support the AFRL research mission. This shall include systems, equipment, components, parts, supplies, and materials, as well as specialized engineering, technical, and scientific services. SERVICES REQUIRED: See attached Statement of Work dated 17 September 2003. Note: The Davis Bacon Act will apply to section 1.3.5.2 ?Facility Support? Capability packages are not to exceed 25 pages; over 25 pages will not be considered.
