- Description
- THIS NOTICE CONSTITUTES AMENDMENT NO. 3 TO THE COMBINED SYNOPSIS/RFQ FOR STARDUST CLEANROOM - RFO# NNJ04060551Q: Companies shall acknowledge all amendment(s) in their quote. This notice serves as the official amendment to the combined synopsis/RFQ and a written amendment will not be issued. The purpose of this amendment is to address the following questions and associated answers. Questions and answers regarding the RFO# NNJ04060551Q are also posted on the Stardust Cleanroom Acquisition Website and can be located by accessing http://jsc-web-pub.jsc.nasa.gov/bd01/scr/default.asp Questions and answers are numbered sequentially and are in congruence with the "Questions and Answers" posted on NAIS and the Stardust Cleanroom Acquistion Website. QUESTION 4: I noticed that besides the air sampling, that addressable detection is also required per item # 26 in the Statement of Work. Is this correct? ANSWER TO QUESTION 4: Air sampling type detection is the only fire detection requirement inside the Stardust Cleanroom. Inadvertently, item #26 of the Statement of Work (SOW) included both "air sampling type detection" and "addressable smoke detection" as requirements for the Stardust Cleanroom. To clarify, the outer room must have "addressable smoke detection" which will be provided by the "Construction Contractor." "Air sampling detection" is required by the prospective offeror inside the Stardust Cleanroom. The Stardust Cleanroom SOW is revised to state the above. Please view the Stardust Cleanroom Acquisition Website by accessing http://jsc-web-pub.jsc.nasa.gov/bd01/scr/default.asp to view the Stardust Cleanroom Statement of Work. REMINDER TO ALL PROSPECTIVE OFFERORS: All contractual and technical questions MUST be in writing (e-mail or fax) to Seena K. Mathews, Contract Specialist, email address: seena.k.mathews@nasa.gov ; fax number: 281-483-4066, OR Kelly R. Wilcutt, Contracting Officer, email address: kelly.r.wilcutt@nasa.gov ; fax number: 281-483-4173, not later than May 12, 2004. Telephone questions will not be accepted. Please do not call or write (email or fax) the Contracting Officer's Technical Representative. This reminder is issued in order to protect the integrity of the procurement process. Thank you. The due date for receipt of offers is not extended. Companies shall provide the information stated in the synopsis/RFQ posted on the NASA Acquisition Internet Service (NAIS) on April 15, 2004.
