Description

The Bureau of Reclamation, Upper Colorado Region has a requirement for supplies and services at the Glen Canyon Powerplant, Page, AZ. This requirement is being procured in accordance with Part 14 of the Federal Acquisition Regulations, SubPart 14.5, Two-Step Sealed Bidding. Step one will consist of requesting a technical proposal. No pricing is involved. The objective is to determine the acceptability of the supplies or services offered. The requirement is to furnish, deliver, install, and test one armature winding including bus rings for Generator Unit #4 at the Glen Canyon Powerplant. Step Two involves the submission of sealed bids by those who submitted acceptable proposals in step one. There will be two bid schedules in the solicitation. Schedule 1 is for Generator Unit #4 Rewind. Schedule 2 is an optional schedule for Generator Unit #7 Rewind, that will be performed in calendar year 2005. The optional Schedule 2 will be awarded if it is determined to be in the best interest of the Government. A site visit is scheduled for May 11, 2004 at 9 a.m. The site visit information will be provided in the solicitation. All interested parties are encouraged to attend. The work will be performed under NAICS Code 811310. The contract will be a firm fixed price supply and install. The approximate date of the issurance of the solicitation is April 23, 2004. A free copy of the drawings (on CD) may be obtained by sending a written request to Bureau of Reclamation, Attention: Estaphanie Singleton, 125 South State Street, Room 6107, Salt lake City, UT 84138-1147, or send an e-mail to esingleton@uc.usbr.gov.
