Description
CONTACT Eugene Sniezek, Electronics Engineer, (732) 427-1095. The Department of the Army is looking for potential sources for repair of AN/PAS-7A handheld infrared viewer (NSN 5855-01-093-3080). Repair will be from existing stock of approximately 21 7 AN/PAS-7A currently being held in Condition Code F depot stock to provide approximately 197 fully operational equipments. Some of the repair is contemplated to include the cannibalization of assemblies and subassemblies from existing AN/PAS-7A depot stoc k .The remainder of the repair will involve mainly the repair of assemblies and subassemblies. Since the equipment is over 25 years old, the prospective contractor will be required to provide replacements for faulty components that may no longer be availa ble. The prospective contractor will be required to provide the facilities, test equipment, special tools etc. to accomplish the repair and tests needed to demonstrate compliance with applicable requirements which are contained in TM 11-58855-246-24&P, da ted 11 April 1979, the equipment specification MIL-V-49074 and the equipment drawings (PL-SM-B-774001-2) (All to be provided during the solicitation phase). The contemplated contract is expected to take place during FY 2005 with options for additional year s in lesser quantities. Options are being considered for subsequent fiscal years at a rate of up to approximately 28 equipments each year. (Note: Actual quantities may vary.) Restricted to U.S. sources. Prospective contractors must provide documentation de monstrating their experience in the testing and repair of infrared viewing equipments. Interested parties shall submit written documentation to Commander, US Army Communications-Electronics Command, ATTN: AMSEL-IEW-N-TI, Building 1201 Fort Monmouth NJ 0770 3-5000.
