- This solicitation is for site preparation by herbicide application using mechanical equipment on the Department of Energy’s Savannah River Site (SRS) outside Aiken, SC. The resulting indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract will be a commercial performance based service contract with a base period and two option years. The size standard is $6.0 million. Solicitation should be available on this web site on or about 29 March 2004. There will be a site visit held. Details will be included in the solicitation. SRS is a restricted access Government facility. A minimum of 48 hours is required to process any security badge requests for U.S. Citizens and up to 30 days could be required for non-U.S. citizens. Contractors should pay close attention to the deadlines to submit information required to gain access for site visit included in the solicitation. Offerors must register on the site in order to receive notification of changes to the solicitation. The offeror is responsible for monitoring this site for release of the solicitation and any subsequent postings. All interested parties must be registered with the Central Contractor Registration as prescribed by FAR 204-7. CCR can be obtained by accessing the Internet or by calling 1-888-227-2423.
