- Description
- Project consists of removal of 120 existing three and four bedroom residential units and replacement of such with new construction. Existing site contains chlordane contaminated soil and required remediation. New housing units are for use by junior NCO personnel and their families. Besides the units themselves, the development includes the following: streets, concrete curb and gutters, recreational areas, off-street parking, mailboxes, site utilities and landscaping. Each housing unit features the following: kitchen with walk-in pantry, separate dining space, general living space, laundry, master suite with walk-in closet/private bath, bedrooms with private closets and shared bath, coat closet, linen storage, geotherma l heat pump cooling/heating, natural gas water heating, dual bulk storage/'safe' room space, screened trash storage, 6 inch stud exterior wall construction and 2 vehicle garage. Accessible units are also to be provided. Units are in duplex arrangement an d may be designed and constructed using wood, steel or a combination and may be constructed using modular or conventional methods. Site utilities include domestic water, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, electrical, telephone, and cable television/satellite service. The estimated cost range of this project is between $25,000,000 and $100,000,000. Plans and specifications will be available on/or about May 17, 2004, and will be provided on Compact Disk (CD-ROM). THE NUMBER OF CD-ROMS WILL BE LIMITED TO ONE (1) PER FIR M. Plans, specifications, and planholders lists will not be provided in a printed hard copy format. PREPROPOSAL CONFERENCE A preproposal conference and site visit for this project is scheduled for 26 May 2004, at 10:00a.m., CDST, at Fort Sill, Oklahoma. The preproposal conference will convene at 10:00a.m., CDST, in the Conference Room, First Floor, Building 1950 (Department o f Public Works), located just north of the intersection of Sheridan Road and Currie Road. Prospective offerors who plan to attend the conference MUST provide, by facsimile, a list of names and titles of representatives, not to exceed three(3) per offeror, who will attend the conference NO LATER THAN 11:00a.m., 24 May 2004. The list should be t ransmitted to DANIEL FOYIL, fax number 918-669-7495. FOREIGN NATIONALS WILL REQUIRE PRIOR CLEARANCE.
