NAICS 333994 - FURNACE, INDUSTRIAL TYPE: (AN RFQ IS REQUESTED ON BRAND NAME OR EQUAL, L&L SPECIAL FURNACE CO INC, ACCESS www. hotfurnace.com FOR ANY ADDITIONAL COMPARISON INFORMATION.) THIS IS A COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION FOR COMMERCIAL ITEMS PREPARED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE FORMAT IN SUBPART 12.6, AS SUPPLEMENTED, WITH ADDITIONAL INFORMATION INCLUDED IN THIS NOTICE. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSITUTES THE ONLY SOLICITATION; PROPOSALS ARE BEING REQUESTED AND A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. ALL RESPONSIBLE SOURCES MAY SUBMIT A QUOTE WHICH WILL BE CONSIDERED BY THE AGENCY. QUOTE MUST BE A PACKAGE PRICE, ALL OR NONE, TO INCLUDE BRAND NAME OR EQUAL WITH REQUIRED OPTIONS AS LISTED BELOW. GENERAL DESCRIPTION: BRAND NAME: L&L SPECIAL FURNACE CO INC MODEL FB 555 PLUS OPTIONS LISTED, OR EQUAL. The welding shop at MCLB Maintenance Center needs a large heating fur nace to heat a variety of metals and castings before and after the welding process. Due to stresses placed upon various metals by the welding process, pre heating and /or a controlled cool down is essential to keep the metals from developing stress cracks. The desired size, temperature range and salient features are described as follows; Internal working dimensions: W 60" H 60" D 60" Load bearing capacity: Minimum 1500 lbs. Heat range: 0-2000 deg. F. Accuracy: Plus or minus 50 deg. above 1500 deg. F. Power source: Electric Furnace must be equipped with a vertical access door, complete with a pneumatic foot-activated switch, and safety locks to prevent door opening while furnace is operating. Furnace requires electronic controls, complete with timer and digital display. Furnace must be insulated with ceramic fiber lining. (See List of Options).
