Request for Information ? Small, low power processor card - DUE: 20 May 2004. POC Contact: Tom Kirkpatrick, phone: 843-218-4840, e-mail: thomas.kirkpatrick@navy.mil. The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center - Charleston (SSC-CH) is seeking information on all available commercial, off-the-shelf (COTS) processor cards for embedded applications. This announcement is for information gathering purposes only. The processor card in question must be no larger than 4? x 5" x 1.25". This processor card must also be relatively low power, consuming under10 watts of power. SSC-CH is only interested processors that meet the below stated requirements and that are currently available as COTS. Determination as to its suitability will be made by SSC-CH based on the objectives of this request. The following salient characteristics apply: Greater than 500 MHz processor; keyboard and mouse inputs; IDE interface and bootable via a compact flash drive; minimum 256 MB RAM; 10/100 MHz Ethernet interface; CRT output (or preferred NTSC/PAL TV output); two RS-232 ports (more preferred); minimum one USB server port; fanless operation; AC97 compliant sound; Windows XP embedded OS support including drivers for all on-board peripherals required and additionally Linux support a plus; Windows XP embedded OS component definition files a plus; desired temperature range of -20 degrees C to +60 degrees C; PC/104 or other standardized interface desirable; semi rugged design that can be repackaged without too much difficulty; < 10 watts power; item must be available in reasonable quantities in under 3 months.Additionally seeking multi port serial cards as well as 6 channel, 8 K samples per second A/D cards that can interface with above described processor Submittals: Respondents are welcome to provide information in the form of product brochures, press releases, technical specification sheets, independent assessment results, reprints of trade journal articles, etc, although electronic media are preferred (CD, diskette, or internet link).
