Description

Synopsis – Nohorn Creek Trail Bridge Design Construction Nohorn Creek Trail Bridge Design Construction – Offers are being sought for the design and construction of a new timber truss, pedestrian bridge, located in the Mt. Hood National Forest, Clackamas River Ranger District, Clackamas County, Oregon. The bridge is approximately 115’ in length. Work includes removal and disposal of the existing timber log bridge, design and construction of the new structure, including approaches, substructure, and superstructure - which may be pre-fabricated. Associated work items include excavation, railing, crushed base, and asphalt. In stream work is limited to the period between July 15 and August 31. The construction site is located in an owl habitat. All noise generating construction activity will be allowed after July 15. The estimated price range for the project is between $100,000 and $250,000. A Preproposal Meeting-site visit is scheduled for June 2, 2004, 1100, at the project site. Proceed east from Estacada, OR on State Route 224 approximately 26 miles to Forest Road 46, travel approximately 10 miles to Forest Road 63, then approximately 5 miles to Forest Road 70, then east approximately 5 miles to the parking area at the trailhead to Bagby Hot Springs. The project site is 200 feet from parking area. Prospective Offerors are highly encouraged to attend this conference.
