Description

The Social Security Administration (SSA) intends to negotiate solely with the Isogon Corporation, 330 7th Avenue, New York, New York, 10001 to purchase a TICTOC software license upgrade and a second copy. SSA currently has a central processing unit (CPU) license for the TICTOC installed on System 81, an IBM z900 2064 1C8 CPU SN11DC. The software will be extended to CPS System 83, an IBM z900 2064 112 CPU SN17F0A that is scheduled to be upgraded to a z990 2084 308 in May 2004. TICTIC is a commercial-off-the shelf application that is used with CICS ASKTIME command. The ASKTIME command is issued by an application program in order to get the current date and time, as supplied by the operating system. Tic Toc is used to intercept these commands and return a virtual date and/or time. The virtual date and/or time are used to set certain transactions, terminals, userids or combination of these. SSA also uses Tic Toc as a date/time simulation testing tool. It is used on a job-by job basis to test the affects of various dates on SSA application programs without any code changes. A sole source award pursuant to FAR Subpart 13.5, Test Program for Certain Commercial Items shall be issued to the Isogon Corporation for these products. Interested vendors must submit detail information on their products to include technical literature and pricing data to the Contract Specialist via the US Postal Service or email at madeline.tims@ssa.gov.
