- Description
- The Government intends to execute an 100% Small Business Set-Aside procurement of Propellant Deuterium Gas (D2), IAW Purchase Description, Propellant, Deuterium, dated 06 Feb 2004, NSN: 9135-00-030-7807. Contractor shall provide all production, raw materials, supplies, management, tools, equipment and labor necessary for the manufacture of D2 using Contractor Furnished Material (Alternate A) or contractor shall provide all production, management tools, equipment, and labor necessary to provide conversion, blending, drum analysis and storage using Government Furnished Material (Alternate B). Support will be FOB Origin for one Firm Fixed Price requirements type contract. The estimated yearly quantities for Deuterium Gas (D2) using either Contractor Furnished Material (Alternate A) or Government Furished Material (GFM) in the form of Heavy Water (D2O) (Alternate B) is 22,000 Standard Liters (SL) per year for each of the five years for Cylinders and 1,120,000 Standard Liters for the first, third and fifth year, 2,240,000 SL for the second year, and 3,360,00 SL for the fourth year for Bulk. This acquistion also includes requirements for conversion, blending, drum analysis, and storage (for Alternate B) and various cylinder/drum/trailer services are required (for both Alternate A and B). Subject solicitation will be issued on or about May 14, 2004 and posted to the FedBizOpps web page (http://www.fedbizopps.gov/). A hard copy of the solicitation may be requested; however, only written, e-mailed or faxed, requests for solicitation received directly from the requestor are acceptable. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered by the agency.
