Description

The Directorate of Contracting, Fort Bliss Texas, intends to award a sole source contract IAW FAR 6.302-1 to SNC Technologies Corp D/B/A Simunition for M16A2 rifle conversion kits, M249 conversion kits, M9 pistol conversion kits, Beretta conversion k its, M4/M16 magazine conversion kits, marking cartridges, 5.56MM linked marking cartridges, protective masks and protective throat collars for this equipment, bolt carrier assembly, ejector pin and plate, firing pin spring and extractor pins for Army Units at Fort Bliss Texas for real-world training scenarios. SNC Technologies is the only known manufacturer and source for this equipment. No request for Proposal is available for competitive bidding; however interested parties may submit a Statement of Capa bility for satisfying this requirement within 7 days of this announcement to the contact person listed above. This synopsis neither constitutes a Request for Proposal or Invitation for Bid, nor does it restrict the Government to an ultimate acquisition ap proach. This Sources Sought Synopsis should not be construed as a commitment by the Government for any purpose. All responsible sources shall respond by submitting a written narrative Statement of Capability including detailed technical information, cert ifications, and other technical informational literature demonstrating the ability to meet the above requirements. The responses must be sufficient to permit agency analysis to establish a bone fide capability to meet the requirements. No telephone reque sts will be honored. Based upon responses to this notice, a determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement is solely within the discretion of the Government. If an award is determined, it will be on the aggregate of the requirem ents.
