Description

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Publishers & Producers, Annandale, VA under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) Soliciting From a Single Source, to distribute the newsletter in print and provide electronic assess to ?manufacturing and Technology News? for all Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP) funded centers throughout the U.S. As The national headquarters for the MEP network, it is important that NIST offer a publication that provides original and breaking news coverage of important projects, companies, events in the manufacturing community, ISO 14000 and 9000 news, legislative debates, and industry trends. Therefore, this requirement is designated sole source as Publishers and Producers is the only vendor currently writing, distributing and providing a site license to enable on-line access to such a publication. A fixed price purchase order will be issued on or about May 21, 2004. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement, in writing, no later than the response date. Written responses to this synopsis shall contain sufficient documentation to establish a bona fide capability to fulfill the requirement.. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This notice of intent is not a Request for Quotation (RFQ) nor is it a request for competition.
