Description

VA Medical Center located at 7305 N. Military Trail, West Palm Beach, Florida, has a requirement for Architectural/Engineering (A/E) services to renovate the 8th floor of the Medical Center from an in-patient configuration to Specialty Clinics (out-patient setting). The 8th floor consists of approximately 30,000 square feet. Existing conditions have out-patients being treated in in-patient designed single and double rooms. The renovation will convert the floor from approximately twenty-two in-patient rooms and support rooms to approximately 100 exam rooms with all support rooms and offices necessary. All designs shall incorporate all electrical, mechanical, structural and architectural components necessary to provide for a complete structural and functional area. Designs shall be in accordance with all applicable requirements of NFPA, EPA, OSHA, National Plumbing Code, National Electric Code, ASHRAE, National Safety Code, VA Specifications, VA Standard Details. VA Construction Standards, VA Space Planning Criteria H-08-9 and applicable local, state and federal regulations. Existing as-built drawings will be made available to the A/E; however, their accuracy shall be verified by the A/E as part of investigative services. Design services shall include cost estimates, construction specifications, drawings and construction period services. All firms interested in providing these services must submit two (2) copies of current SF 254 and SF 255?s to the Contracting Officer by 2:00 PM, local time, on May 28, 2004, to be considered. Any qualified firm submitting the required forms by May 28, 2004 will be considered. See numbered Notes 24 and 25
