Description: SHORTWAVE BROADCAST TECHNICAL MANAGEMENT SUPPORT INDUSTRY QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS 1. QUESTION: What exactly does hourly rate price mean? In the industry, frequency hour is the standard term used to price shortwave airtime. A frequency hour is one hour on a single frequency. Please note that one could purchase multiple frequencies during the same hour of time, hence the need to refer to them as frequency hours. Can you please clarify if hourly rate is referring to a frequency hour rate. If not, what is meant by the term hourly rate? ANSWER: For the purposes of this contract and follow-on out years, an hourly rate is one hour on a single frequency.
