- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is Q8564040412 and is issued as a Request for Quotations (RFQ). This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-23, May 5, 2004. This solicitation is set-aside for small business. The North American Standard Industrial Classifications System Code is 423320 and the small business size is 100 employees. The requirement is to furnish 1800 tons of asphalt as follows: starting approximately July 1, start delivering 400 tons of SC 3000 3/8" rock cold mix, approximately August 2, start delivering 400 tons of AR 4000 type B hot mix. Both of these orders will be delivered to the Giant Forest area. Approximately August 16, 2004 start deliveries of 1000 tons of the same hot mix to the Kings Canyon Overlook area. All of these deliveries need to be completed in approximately 14 calendar days from the approximate start dates (July 1, August 2, and August 16). The Cold mix deliveries will be a stock pile delivery and the hot mix deliveries will need to be delivered by end dump trucks capable of transferring the loads to either a self propelled or a pull box paving machine. The project contact person for this procurement is: Kirk Stiltz at 559-565-4460 and the administrative contact is Fred Picavet 559-565-3180. The following FAR provisions and clauses are applicable to this solicitation: Provisions at 52.212-1 (Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items); 52.212-2 (Evaluation-Commercial Items); 52.213-3 (Offeror's Representations and Certifications/Commercial Items) which includes the following clauses: 52.203-6, Alt. 1, 52.222-19, 52.222-26, 52.222-35, 52.222-36, 52.222-37, 52.225-1, 52.225-13 and 52.232-34. Fred Picavet, 47050 Generals Hwy, Three Rivers CA 93271, or via fax at 559-565-3700. The government will evaluate the quotations based on references, price, and delivery dates. Price is the most important. Include in the RFQ at least two references of projects of similar size. Include the job title, recipients name, size of project, contact name and phone number. If you cannot meet the exact delivery dates mentioned above also include closes dates you will be able to make the necessary deliveries. The due date and time for receipt of this quotations is June 2, 2004, 4:30 PM. All vendors should pre-register to save time, by logging onto the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) at the Internet site at www.ccr.gov. Firms must be registered at CCR in order to be considered for award.
