Description
This notice modifies the previous synopsis that was posted on May 4, 2004 of the FedBizOpps. The following questions are addressed with an individual response: QUESTION 1 What is the appropriate response to item (5) which states that contractors will be evaluated based on their location in the general geographic area of the project? ANSWER 1 The appropriate geographic area is between 180 to 200 miles from the Naval Research Laboratory (NRL). QUESTION 2 Is there a preference for an architect or engineer to lead this team as prime? ANSWER 2 We do not have a preference as to whether the lead is an engineering or architectural firm. QUESTION 3 Is this a new or existing contract? ANSWER 3 These are new contracts. There have been more than one contracts of a similar nature. QUESTION 4 Will you be holding presentations or interviews following a shorlist or will you be awarding directly from the submissions? If there is an interview, what is the anticipated date for that? ANSWER 4 Interviews are held with the firms that are slated. These are held within a month of the approval of the Slate Board Report. The goal is to have the Slate Board Report approved within a month of the closing date of the Announcement. QUESTION 5 What is the anticipated date of award for the contracts? ANSWER 5 Award is approximately three (3) months from the closing date of the Announcement. QUESTION 6 Is there any duct cleaning or mold remediation jobs involved with the renovation and replacement of HVAC systems? ANSWER 6 None is expected for the lead projects. SUBMITTALS The correct submittals for these projects are the 254 and 255 only.
