- Description
- The Architect of the Capitol requires a contractor to furnish all management, supervision, labor, tools, material test equipment, parts, testing, transportation as required to perform routine maintenance, repairs (routine and non-routine), improvements, emergency service calls, and other related work for maintaining approximately one (1) mile of railroad track. The Architect of the Capital (AOC) leases approximately half of these tracks from CSX and own the other half in their coal unloading facility. The contractor shall be solely responsible for the proper testing, maintenance and operation of these tracks to include rail ties/timber, rails, spikes, switches, switch point derailers, bumpers, etc., and other related rail equipment in accordance with this specification. This contract is for one (1) Base Year and four (4) Options Years. Request for this RFP must be in faxed to Nina A. Bryant, Architect of the Capitol, Procurement Division, @ 202-225-3221.
