- Description
- The Government announces its requirement to procure for the Replacement/Repair of the perimeter fence at the Federico Degetau Federal Office Building located at 150 Carlos Chardon Ave., Hato Rey, PR. The Contractor shall furnish all necessary labor, materials equipment, tools and supervision. Work shall include, but is not limited to the removal of existing iron grill fence and installation of galvanized steel iron grill fence. The replacement of existing gates, prime and paint entire perimeter fence including posts and all incidental related work. The estimated construction period is 140 calendar days. This procurement is 100% set aside for small business concerns pursuant to FAR subpart 19.5. The magnitude of this construction project is estimated between $25,000 and $100,000. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 238890 and the size standard is $12 million. Alternate payment protection in the form of a payment bond or irrevocable letter of credit will be required following award. The tentative solicitation issuance date is May 26, 2002. All responsible sources may submit a proposal that will be considered by the agency. The solicitation, amendments to the solicitation, specifications and drawings will be available through a secured internet site. Interested parties shall send all requests to access the secured internet site and requests for the solicitation to the attention of Rubin Padilla at the e-mail or mailing address shown in this presolicitation notice. Contractors are requested to provide a street address, telephone number, copy of a business license or other documentation granted by the state or local jurisdiction to conduct business, a valid DUNS number, a valid IRS Tax ID Number and an e-mail address. Contractors will also be required to sign a Document Security Notice. Once the request for the solicitation has been accepted, an e-mail will be sent to the e-mail address provided. The e-mail will provide instruction for entry into the secured Internet site and access to the solicitation. Contractors should request e-mail notification from FedBizOpps in order to remain apprised of the solicitation. All requests for the solicitation will be provided only in response to written, facsimile, or electronic mail requests. NO TELEPHONIC REQUESTS WILL BE HONORED FOR THIS SOLICITATION.
