Description

The Army Contracting Agency Northern Region Contracting Center Leavenworth, intends to re-procure the Cleaning and Inspection of Fireplaces and Chimneys as a Firm-Fixed Price contract. Performance will be located in Army Family Housing, Fort Leavenw orth, Kansas and includes 75 units. All work shall be completed within 365 calendar days after Notice to Proceed. The typical family building in housing areas 2 are multistory buildings consisting of two-or three-story high and some with attic space. Ro ofing materials for the above housing areas are made out of asphalt, fiberglass, metal, or slate shingles and have a slope around 8 to 12 and 12 to 12. Chimney heights range from 5 to 11 feet high above the roof. Contractor shall make a site visit to det ermine the actual configuration of the buildings. The acquisition is Restricted to Small Business. The North American Industry Classifiaction System (NAICS) Code for this acquisition number is 561790. The size standard for a Small Business concern is $6 Million. The Request for Quote Reference Number is W91QF4-04-Q-0015 and will be issued on or about 28 May 2004. The RFQ and reference documents will be made available for downloading from FedBizOps at www.FedBizOpps.gov . Bidders must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (www.ccr.gov) to be eligible for award.
