- Description
- The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) has a requirement for 2,400 Loran-C Mark II Microsondes (Sippican Part Number 1543-611 with chip thermistor) to be delivered F.O.B. Destination to the National Logistics Support Center in Kansas City, Missouri commencing approximately 60 days after award. NOAA intends to negotiate this requirement on a sole source basis with Sippican, Inc. (Sippican), located in Marion, Massachusetts. Sippican is the sole manufacturer of the Loran-C Mark II Microsonde and is the only known source that can provide the required supplies. Although NOAA expects that only Sippican can provide the required supplies, all responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency. See Notes 12, 22, and 26.
