- The CMS intends to negotiate a Task Order Modification with The Lewin Group for Contract No. 500-96-0005, Task Order # 4. The purpose of the Task Order modification is to allow the contractor to continue pilot testing of the Surveyor Technical Assistant for Renal Disease (STAR) automated software in five states for an additional six (6) months, Lewin Developed the STAR Program which is a combination of unique software, innovative computer hardware, data collection, and utilization testing
