Description

This is notice of intent to issue a Request for Proposal for a facilities maintenance contract. The contractor shall furnish all planning, supervision, labor, equipment, replacement parts and supplies necessary for the operation, maintenance and repa ir of the Government-owned facilities and equipment at John H. Kerr Project and Powerhouse located in Boydton VA. Work includes maintenance and repair of buildings and recreational facilities, maintenance of landscaped areas, grass mowing, janitorial and c ustodial services and other services required to opeate and maintain facilities and features at the project. A cost-plus-award-fee type contract is contemplated. Contract period is one (1) base year with four (4) one year options. The North American Indust ary Class Identifications System (NAICS) Code for this procurement is 561210. Request for Proposal No.W912PM-04-R-0007 should be addressed to CESAW-CT, POB 1890, Wilmington, NC 28402-1890, and/or faxed to (910) 251-4454, Attn: Ms. Margaret Schools. Ensure that document number is annotated when submitting a request and contractor's physical address, telephone and fascimile numbers and a point of contact are provided. This proposal has an approximate issue date of June 11, 2004 with a response date of 4:00 PM Eastern Day Light Savings Time July 27, 2004. This procurement is a Competitive 8(A) Set-Aside. Only those firms meeting the Small Business Administration's (SBA)criteria and are certified by the SBA as an 8(A) contractor are eligible to compete for this procurement. It has been determined by the SBA that competition will be restricted to 8(A) firms which have a NAICS code of 561210 among their approved codes.
