Description

The principal components of the work includes but is not limited to: 1) Replacing existing generating unit high pressure carbon dioxide fire extinguishing system by furnishing, installing, and testing two new high pressure carbon dioxide fire extinguishing systems of a modern design; 2) Disassembling, removing, and disposing of portions of existing high pressure carbon dioxide system to be replaced; 3) Performing complete cleaning and identification of equipment, devices, piping, and valving for new high pressure carbon dioxide fire extinguishing systems; 4) Furnishing and installing fire detection and alarm systems. The work is located at Green Mountain Power Plant approximately 25 miles northwest of Dillion, Colorado in Summit County, Estes Power Plant approximately 1 mile east of Estes Park, Colorado in Larimer County, Marys Lake Power Plant approximately 3 miles southwest of Estes Park, Colorado in Larimer County, Pole Hill Power Plant approximately 15 miles southwest of Loveland, Colorado in Larimer County, Flatiron Power and Pumping Plant approximately 10 miles southwest of Loveland, Colorado in Larimer County and Big Thompson Power Plant approximately 8 miles west of Loveland, Colorado in Larimer County. The estimated range of the work is between $1 - $5 million. Solicitation packages are estimated to be available on June 15, 2004. Requests should be received on or before June 28, 2004. The bid is tentitively scheduled for July 14, 2004. The contract is scheduled to be completed in 365 days. There is no charge for the first copy of the solicitation, additional copies will be provided upon receipt of a nonrefundable check or money order of $9.00 each. After issuance, the solicitation may be viewed without charge, at the Bureau of Reclamation, Great Plains Regional Office, Room 2035, 316 N. 26th Street, Billings, Montana. Prospective offerors desiring to visit the work site should make arrangements with Mr. Matt Sheskier of the Construction Services Office, telephone (970) 962-4510. All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the Bureau of Reclamation. The NAICS Code is 238210. The Small Business size standard is $12 million.
