- This acquisition is for Embankment Construction and Site Work at the Lower Smith Wetland, and installation of 6 pumps at Lower Smith, Upper Smith, East Broughton, and Quimby Creek. Work will consists of furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment , and performing all operations necessary to operate pumps as described in these specifications and to complete the site work at Lower Smith, to install boom poles at Upper Smith, Lower Smith, and Quimby Creek. The period of performance is 360 days, whic h may be reduced. This project will include options. The Government will award a firm fixed price contract from this IFB to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the government. This solicitation is open to HUB Zone small business concerns. The sta ndard industrial code (SIC) is 1629. The NAICS Code is 237990. The size standard is $28.5M. The estimated construction cost of this project is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00. All responsible sources may submit an offer, which will be considered by this agency. The Solicitation and all amendments will be web based and available to download from the US Army Kansas City District, Corps of Engineers web site. The solicitation package shall be available on or about June 01, 2004. Offerors must register on the Kansas City District web site to receive the solicitation. This solicitation will be web based.
