- Description
- The Office of the Federal Detention Trustee (OFDT) on behalf of the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), is conducting a Sources Sought synopsis for information purposes only. This is not a solicitation announcement. Currently, no solicitation is available. This request for information does not commit the government to pay any cost incurred in preparation of any submission to this Sources Sought Notice. The purpose of this request for information is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources. Responses to this sources sought synopsis will be used by the government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. After review of the responses to this sources sought synopsis, and if the government still plans to proceed with the acquisition, a solicitation announcement will be publicized in the FedBizOpps. All interested offerors will be required to respond to the solicitation announcement in addition to responding to this sources sought synopsis. It is the potential offeror?s responsibility to monitor this site for the release of any solicitation or synopsis. The anticipated scope of services to be provided and their respective functional areas are detailed below: OFDT is in search of an existing secured detention facility located within the geographic boundaries of Newark Airport, New Jersey (50 mile radius) with a capacity of not less than 300 beds to house exclusively persons in custody of ICE. The requirement will include adequate special housing, medical space, and secure transportation services within an approximate geographic radius of 100 miles from the facility. Construction of a new facility is not a consideration for this request. Any expansion of existing proposed facilities started after the date of this notice will not be considered for any possible subsequent award. Facility(ies) design should comply with, or have the capability to comply with levels of quality established by the American Correctional Association (ACA), Adult Local Detention Facilities. Interested parties having the required physical plant to meet the above requirement should submit a capability statement to include the following: Name and address of firm, size of business; average annual revenue for past 3 years and number of employees; ownership; whether they are large, small, small disadvantaged; number of years in business; affiliate information: parent company, joint venture partners, potential teaming partners, prime contractor (if potential sub) or subcontractors (if potential prime); list of customers covering past five years (highlight relevant work performed, contract numbers, contract type, dollar value of each procurement; and point of contact ? address and phone number); number of beds available; availability date(s); all facility accreditations; current facility status; and identification of the population currently housed in the facility, if any. This synopsis is for information and planning purposes and is not to be construed as a commitment by the government nor will the government pay for information solicited. All responses shall be submitted to Dana Y. Long no later than July 2, 2004.
