Description

Contractor will provide design services to assess the current condition and capabilities of our HVAC and Electric Power systems; Identify deficiencies and provide recommendations and estimated cost for correction; provide a systematic plan for replacement of numerous air handling systems that are in excess of 30 years old; provide updated and current sets of drawings showing all air handling systems and areas served, and all electrical panels. Project will also provide complete design to consolidate the medical center's five (5) energy management operating systems/platforms into a single system. These systems provide automatic control of the facility's HVAC systems. No construction contract may be awarded to the firm that designs the project. This solicitation is unrestricted in accordance with the SBA Demonstration Program. Area of consideration is restricted to firms located within a 30 mile radius of the VA Medical Center Louisville Kentucky. Interested/qualified firms should submit (in triplicate) to the contracting officer, the appropriate data as described in numbered note 24 on or before June 22, 2004 @ 3:30 PM Eastern Standard Time. There is a 180 day completion time. Award is subject to the availability fo funding. NAICS Code 541310 applies to this procurement.
