Description
DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES: Provide noxious weed control in designated areas for target species on YTC. The contractor shall provide the materials, equipment and labor necessary to provide season-long control of non-desirable broadleaf weeds or all veg etation in designated areas. This support includes assessing proper phenology for treatment, performing weed control, documenting weed control locations with a Global Positioning System (GPS), follow-up monitoring to ensure adequate control, performing an y re-treatment required and submission of all required electronic and hardcopy databases and all require reports associated with execution of this contract. Task 1- Bare ground road and shoulder weed control. Control all vegetation using herbicide on and a long improved, gravel and rock roads to the outside top of the drainage ditches on both sides. Task 2-Road shoulder broadleaf weed control. Control non-desirable broadleaf weeds using herbicide along improved, gravel and rock roads to the top of the dra inage ditch and from the top of the drainage ditch to a distance of 10?????? beyond the outside top of the drainage ditches on both sides. Native broadleaf species are desirable and shall not be treated beyond the drainage ditch. Task 3-Specific species control in range areas ?????? mechanical. Mechanical control and electronic mapping of specific species in designated areas. Species include but are not limited to scotch thistle (Onopordum acanthium) and musk thistle (Carduss nutans). Other species wit h similar distribution, phenology, and control requirements may be ordered. Task 4-Specific species control in range areas - herbicide. Specific or multiple (e.g. all broadleaf) species control in designated range and riparian areas using spot applicatio n of herbicide. Example targets include, but are not limited to dalmation toadflax (Linaria genistifolia ssp. Dalmatica), purple loosestrife (Lythrum salicaria), perennial pepperweed (Lepidium latifolium), whitetop (Cardia draba), and knapweeds (Centaurea spp. and Acroptilon repens). Other species with similar distribution, phenology, and control requirements may be ordered. Task 5-Improved range facility weed control. Control all vegetation on and along improved range facilities. These areas include b ut are not limited to hardened assembly areas, wells, bivouacs, command posts, firing positions, target movers, target positions, and observation posts. DESCRIPTION OF SOLICITATION: This Contract is to be awarded as a multiple year, base plus 4 options years. The initial Period of Performance is expected to be 15 June 2004 through 30 September 2004, with each option, if exercised to begin on 01 April of e ach year. The proposed procurement listed here is 100 percent set-aside small business concerns. NAICS Code: 561730, The size standard for a small business is defined as any concern including its affiliates with an average annual sales or receipts for it s preceding three fiscal years not in excess of $6 million per year.
