Description

The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) has a requirement for the fabrication and installation of neon signs in its Annex Building Cafeteria. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The request for quotation (RFQ) number is RFQ-04-0541. The solicitation documents and incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular FAC 01-23 May 5, 2004. See the specification requirements for the description, quantities, and number of neon signs. The resulting order shall be firm fixed price. The basis for award shall be price only. The contractor selected shall be required to submit a mock up sign as a sample before award. Quotations may be submitted on company letterhead. Quotations shall include the RFQ number, the proposed unit price, the proposed extended price, any prompt payment discount terms, company name, point of contact, address, phone number, fax number, e-mail address, tax identification number, DUNS number, verification you have submitted VETS-100 form to Department of Labor, and size status (i.e., small business, disadvantaged business, women owned business, or HUBZone business. If this item is available under GSA Schedule, please provide the schedule number. The Government requests you provide a point of contact so that we can evaluate your past performance with other firms or Government organizations. Your quotation is due into this office by 3:00p.m. on May 28, 2004. Quotations may (1) be mailed to Bureau of Engraving and Printing, 14th and C Streets, SW, Attn: Gordon A.
