Description
The following work is to be performed at the Federal Center, Building 2, 50 North Washington Ave., Battle Creek, Michigan, “Building 2 – First Floor HVAC Improvements.” The project is to remodel portions of the second floor of Building 2 of the Battle Creek Federal Center. The project consists of the following: A. Replacement of the existing window air conditioning units in the offices surrounding the Palm Garden Room with central heating and air conditioning. B. Replacement of existing lay-in ceiling, including ceiling grid and tiles, painting all walls, doors and windows trim within the project area of approximately 3,300 SF. C. Repair and clean existing carpet and window treatments. Project includes one Option to remove and replace the existing Palm Garden Conference Room HVAC system, a portion of the ceiling grid and light fixtures. Contract completion time is 120 calendar days for the base work and 90 calendar days for the Option work. Estimated cost range between $500,000 and $1,000,000. NAICS is 238220 with a small business size standard of 12 million. This is a negotiated procurement NOT sealed bid, and is Open to All Business Concerns in Accordance with the Small Business Competitive Demonstration Program. The solicitation package will only be available electronically. It will be available on or about June 4, 2004. No paper copies of the solicitation will be mailed. Potential offerors will be responsible for downloading the solicitation and monitoring the website for possible amendments and/or additional information. The solicitation cited above can only be obtained by accessing a secure website known as the Federal Technical Data Solution (FedTeds). FedTeds is a secure website designed to safeguard sensitive but unclassified (SBU) acquisition information. It is fully integrated with the other electronic government initiatives such as FedBizOpps and the Central Contract Registration System (CCR) database. In order to obtain the solicitation from FedTeds, you will first be required to register with CCR. The Central Contractor Registration database is a part of the Business Partner Network and will be used to validate vendor identity. Effective October 1, 2003, all government contractors must be registered in CCR prior to receiving an award. You may access CCR at the following URL www.bpn.gov. Once you have registered with CCR, you will be required to register with FedTeds. No federal materials can be downloaded until you have registered under both sides. You may access FedTeds via the following URL, https://www.FedTeds.gov. You will then be required to access the vendor registration form by selecting the hyperlink entitled, Register with FedTeds, And then choosing the Vendor Registration Form hyperlink. At a minimum, all vendors must supply the following information: Your company’s Central Contractor Registration (CCR) Marketing Partner Identification Number (MPIN), Your Company’s DUNS Number or CAGE Code (Contact Dun & Bradstreet at 1-800-333-0505 if you do not have a D&B number), Your Telephone Number.
